A profiling licence is consumed the first time Retsu Profiler or Retsu Erasure runs on a newly registered device. It covers hardware profiling, diagnostics, OS deployment and other non-erasure processing. Retests of the same registered device do not consume another profiling licence.

Erasure licences are separate and apply only to Retsu Erasure. One licence is used per drive when erasure starts; eligible failed terminal results have the licence returned to the account automatically, while stopped or unreported interruptions may require review.
